Questions
Good to know.
Is this actually free?
Yes. No account, no email, no paywall. RacketFit is open source and runs entirely in your browser.
How many rackets are in here?
Hundreds of frames spanning 2005 to 2026 across Babolat, Wilson, Head, Yonex, Tecnifibre, Prince, Dunlop, Volkl, and Solinco, plus dozens of strings.
Are the specs exact?
They are approximate manufacturer values, rounded for comparison. Use them to build a shortlist, then demo before you buy. Some 2026 frames use projected specs.
Do I have to measure my hand?
No. The grip question is optional. Leave it blank and we suggest the most common size with instructions to measure yourself.
Can I just browse instead of taking the quiz?
Of course. The Rackets and Strings tabs let you search and filter the entire database.

How the matching works
Picking a racket by brand is a trap...
1. Your answers become a target spec
Each survey answer nudges a baseline up or down...
2. Every racket is scored
For each spec, a racket scores 1.0 at your ideal...
3. String, tension, and grip
Strings are scored on power, control, spin, comfort...
The cheat sheet
Customizing your racket
A stock frame is a starting point. A few grams of lead or tungsten tape and the right grip change how a racket plays more than most people realize. Customizing happens in three levels.
